It was a Marvel how ABC showed the entire movie last night with NO
commercial interruptions. Is this the first time that has happen on
regular TV?
I did notice that they had to modify the film to make it fit into 2
hours. And also to get a TV 14 rating.
But was there anyone smart enough to see how stupid it was to show that
film now, during a racially charged election?
I loved the special effects, but the only message it sent was that
wherever you go in the world, black people are ALWAYS violent.
And why should they be praising a country ruled by kings?
Isn't that what we fought against?

You are not the first one to notice that it sends messages that aren't
really politically correct.

But he does sound like a racist to me.
I do not try to be politically correct. I just point out flaws when I
see them. They could have written a better script.
Make it a hidden utopia. I would not complain that it's not realistic.
It's SCI-FI.

What the hell does Black Panther have to do with Lee Harvey Oswald and
Frank Bender?

Hey. you're not allowed to ask questions like that. SCI You are not
supposed to know about his top secret mission to Africa to assassinate a
King.

I believe Schindler's list was first broadcast that way. There was a
message before and after by Ford Motor company, if I recall the criticism
correctly.

Just a guess but it was probably a tribute to the star of the movie,
Chadwick Boseman, who died last Friday after a four year battle with colon
cancer. Boseman had also starred as Jackie Robinson in the movie 42.

Yes, they showed it on regular TV as a tribute to the actor. Maybe they
meant well, but it was misguided.

I didn't like how Bobby Seale was portrayed in THE BLACK PANTHER.
