John Tyler, our 10th president born in 1790, still has a living grandson.
How can that be? His first wife died while he was in office and he
remarried while still president. He fathered a child while in his fifties
and that son fathered a son at the age of 75. That grandson is still alive
today.

Born in 1790 I believe would make Tyler the first President born after the
ratification of the Constitution.

One correction to the above. John Tyler remarried in his fifties but his
youngest son who is the father of Tyler's living grandson wasn't born
until John Tyler was 63.

Also, at the time this story was aired in 2018, there were actually two
living grandsons of John Tyler but the older one died in 2019. As of
November 29, 2020 the younger one who was the subject of this story was
still alive and living in a nursing home. His visitors are limited due to
Covid-19 concerns.

Or so his wife would have you believe. ;)

Has DNA established the actual lineage?

Follow the science.
