Kerry Thornley writes Sylvia Meagher

Sylvia Meagher was a supporter of Kerry Thornley and even donated money
for his defense - Garrison had charged him with perjury for denying he met
Oswald in New Orleans in September 1963.

Here is a letter from Thornley to Meagher, and her reply. It adds some
color and details about their thinking of Garrison.

The letters are a fun read. Garrison probably does deserve your book, but
what empowered Garrison was the inadequate Warren Commission/FBI
investigation. When the authorities hide the truth, then the Jolly Green
Frankensteins come out to play. When the authorities are the perps, who
knows what to believe? Why not Frankenstein? He seems just as reasonable.

The idea is to make personal atacks on anyone who doubts the WC.
It's a cheap Trump Trick.

Well, the same idea applies to the Trump situation. When the authorities
ruined their credibility with their Russiagate Hoax, they opened the door
for the Jolly Orange Frankenstein to sell his own election hoax.

It's ironic that had Garrison and Thornley met again later in life, in the
late seventies and eighties, that they probably would have agreed a great
deal on political matters, on how the US was "run" and on how the world
really operates. That is that the US government was evil and corrupt and
powerful forces and figures behind the scenes were really controlling it
(Thornley was an anarchist and believed all state force was evil).
Initially, Thornley believed that Oswald shot JFK and that he acted alone.
But later, after a bizarre sets of experiences - including a lot of drugs
- Thornley held quite paranoid views about the world. He believed that
secret forces were behind all sorts of seemingly unrelated events - from
the rise of the Sixties counterculture to the Manson murders (Bugliosi
anyone?) - much like Garrison believed. It was this "New Left" sort of
view of America that emerged from the Vietnam War protests and all of that
upheaval associated with it.
