In Oswald's defense (the CIA has ordered me to change things up this year
so here goes), he really wasn't much of a Momma's boy. He did show
independence from her. At the first chance to get away from her he jumped
at it. And I don't think he was worried about her well being when he
defected. And when she came around after his return from the USSR he
would get in fights with her over the raising of the baby. His brother
Robert said that when he went to see Oswald at the Dallas jail that Oswald
pointed to his mother and said, "Why did you bring her here?" By all
accounts she was an exasperating woman.

I suspect the title is a bit ill-chosen, and that the programs itself
is a bit more nuanced.

From the description:

<quote on>

Mama’s Boy?tells the story of Lee Harvey Oswald’s complex relationship
with his overbearing mother, Marguerite. The play follows
her?reckless?attempts to reunite her family, from Lee’s return to the
U.S. from Russia, through the assassination of President Kennedy, to
her son’s own murder and her defense of his innocence. The story is an
examination of the dynamics of an American family that play out in the
shadow of history.

<end quote>

This one really jumps out at you: "Lee Harvey Oswald my son, even after
his death, has done more for his country than any other living human
being." I think that was based on her belief that she one expressed that
JFK was a sick president and that Oswald's assassination saved the country
from his dangerous presidency.

David Talbot made a somewhat similar explanation in his book, "The Devil's
Chessboard", on the assassination. He said Dulles, who directed the
assassination, feared that JFK's behavior and condition were so erratic
that he had to be removed from power. Talbot said the assassins, e.g.,
Dulles and corporate leaders, believed they were doing a patriotic act,
that JFK was a threat to the security of the country. "They" also killed
RFK out of fear he'd expose their actions. In other words, just another
normal day in JFK conspiracy world.

Silly. All those CIA guys are long gone.
There is no one left at CIA who cares.

Stop the slander.
My father was not a CIA agent. He was an NSA officer and the liaison to
the CIA.

So I guess this means I won't be getting a big check from the CIA? What
about those promises from the son of the former president of Nigeria?

Perhaps of interest here is this odd report from one of the NYC people who
were trying to help little Lee at the time, about Marguerite wanting to
get her dead husband "out of the way as quickly as possible," by forgoing
a funeral and burying him on the same day he died. She seems to have been
an extraordinary woman.
