I am curious about two books David Lifton wrote, one about Oswald published in
1999, the other entitled "Final Charade," in 2000, neither of which I have ever
seen. In a Borders search, both are listed as being out of print. In fact,
both were out of print within a few months after their publication dates, which
does not seem to make much sense. If only a small percentage of the people who
bought "Best Evidence" bought either of these books, they would have sold
fairly well, enough to keep them in print for longer than a few months anyway.
Does anybody know what happened to these books?

Actually they are one and the same book about the life of Lee Harvey
the need to keep adding further chapters or refining what has been already
written. I noticed that two different publishers were involved in the two
versions listed. Since he logs onto this site quite often, maybe David
could fill us all in what the status of his long-awaited second book is.
I would presume it might be coming out in November.
BTW, he has become a strong supporter of Priscilla Johnson McMillan and
accused me of "character assassination" in my series on PJM's life and
career, available at Clint Bradford's site (http://www.jfk-info.com).
Given that PJM has always believed that Oswald killed JFK on his own
because of marital problems (see her book MARINA & LEE), it's odd that
Lifton would defend her so strongly.
