One JFK researcher says that Oswald's curtain rods are in the National
Archives. Those are curtain rods from the House of Paine. When Oswald was
arrested in the theater the Paine curtain rods were still in the Paine's
garage. The argument that Oswald took curtain rods into the TSBD is
ridiculous.

Which ones are they in the National Archives? 24 inch or 32-1/2 inch?
How could Micheal Paine remember the exact length down to the half-inch?
Did YOU, as an experienced researcher go to the National Archives and
measure them yourself to be sure? Do you even own a ruler? Do you even
know how to use a ruler?
All you can ever do is guess your way through life.

Did Buell Frazier use a ruler when he measured Oswald's Carcano curtain
rods? Did Buell Frazier's sister use a ruler? I do own a ruler and know
how to use one. No, I have never been to the National Archives, but I have
been to Dealey Plaza several times. How did Buell Frazier come up with 24
plus give or take a few inches? Ruler or guess?

You make no sense. Frazieer noticed how long tha package was n the seat
and how Oswald carried it by his right palm on the stock and the muzzle
tucked into his armpit. Try it some time and post a photo.

No. Maybe he used a ruler to measure the back seat. Maybe the FBI did.

Sorry, no. You make no sense.

You already claimed Frazier was an incompetent klutz here:
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/alt.assassination.jfk/B4LEwr3APlE/L2TRRH1RGQAJ

You also suggested he lied in the same post.

You can't rely on his estimate as accurate enough to eliminate the rifle
once you tried to remove the package from Oswald hand entirely by calling
Frazier a liar and an incompetent klutz.

It's as I pointed out earlier, conspiracy theorists flit from one theory
to the next never to alight on the most reasonable one. You go from
Frazier was incompetent or lying and Oswald had nothing that morning
except a small bag containing his lunch to Frazier was very accurate in
his estimate of the package length and that means the package Oswald had
couldn't be the rifle and could only be curtain rods.

You avoid the middle ground and the most reasonable explanation
entirely... Oswald had a long package that morning and that package was
long enough to contain the rifle that was later found in the building, but
Frazier's estimate was simply approximately a third too short.

And we shouldn't get all worked up over the estimate, because Frazier
never measured it, only estimated it. And Frazier on a multitude of
occasions said he was not paying attention to the package. And of course,
a long paper sack was found on the sixth floor next to the snipers nest
window that was long enough to contain Oswald's rifle. And that paper sack
had Oswald's print on it. So there's the evidence tying Oswald to the sack
Frazier saw and when measured, establishes Frazier estimated the sack as
shorter than it actually was.

But no, that's too reasonable. And points to Oswald. So that won't do.

It must be something like Frazier was an incompetent klutz, lied, and
Oswald only had his lunch and Frazier was also wholly accurate in his
estimates and trustworthy and Oswald only had curtain rods.

Right?

Good luck pushing that rock uphill.

Maybe the curtain rods were not discovered in the TSBD that day because
they were underneath Oswald's jacket, which was not found until weeks
later.

Come on, Tony, it's right there in front of your own nose.

CBS recreated the length of the paper bag and showed how LHO hid and
carried his Carcano into the TSBD. Wesley Frazier said he wasn't paying
much attention to Oswald and the package as Oswald walked to the
Depository well ahead of him.

Also, there is this from Frazier's WC testimony:

Mr. BALL - Did you usually walk up there together.
Mr. FRAZIER - Yes, sir; we did.
Mr. BALL - Is this the first time that he had ever walked ahead of you?
Mr. FRAZIER - Yes, sir; he did.

I lose sight of the top of the bag as Rather walks away from the camera,
and I was FOCUSED ON IT. Frazier wasn't.

And, once again, I'll point out that Frazier's testimony and the CBS
recreation is corroborated by hard evidence: Oswald's gun found on the 6th
floor, the three shells, the paper bag.

Oswald couldn't wish his rifle into the TSBD, he had to carry it there.

You can't accept what the evidence shows, but you do believe an unseen,
nameless CIA rogue hit squad murdered JFK.

As someone said, it's useless to try to reason with an unreasonable
person. Mark

As someone said, it's useless to try to reason with an unreasonable
person. Mark
The way I heard it was you can't use reason to talk someone out of a
position if they didn't use reason to get themselves into that position
(or words to that effect).

And most CTs come to a study of the evidence with their minds already made
up that there was a conspiracy. They then spend their time finding
confirming evidence to support their belief (confirmation bias). Harold
Weisberg, for example, did conclude there was a conspiracy on the weekend
of the assassination. He admitted as much. He then started writing books
to make money. He admitted that too.

You don't understand SCIENCE.
Freudian slip? Do curtain rods have a *MUZZLE*? Do they have a *STOCK*?
No, sily. YOU have the theory that Oswald was carrying the rifle.
So you need to show what it swould look like if carried a Frazier saw it.
Why do you always chicken out like a coward?

The logical fallacy of a straw man argument. In my 50+ years of reading
about the assassination, I don't know that anyone has ever advanced the
argument that Oswald fired from two different locations at the same
time... or even anytime during the shooting sequence on 11/22/63.

So why would you bring that up? Because you're convinced of a conspiracy.
And think begging the question and asserting why you need to prove is
valid argument. It's not, and it simply proves my point. You became
convinced of the conspiracy long before there was any dictabelt results
published. You latch onto the dictabelt as affirming your belief.

So did MILLIONS of people all around the world.
Millions of people wrote books for money about the assassination, after
the murder of Oswald as Weisberg did?

That's a falsehood if you're asserting that.

Or did you mean millions of people jumped to the conclusion that there had
to be a conspiracy without any evidence of one, just as Weisberg did? So
what? The fact that millions of people jumped to the same conclusion isn't
evidence that Weisberg was right. So what's your point? Weisberg reaches
conclusions unsupported by the evidence? I concur.

PS: You're ignoring the fact that Rather carried the package and the top
was barely visible, and Frazier noted in his testimony about ten times he
wasn't paying attention to Oswald as he walked away.

No, sily. YOU have the theory that Oswald was carrying the rifle.
And evidence. The rifle didn't walk to the Depository on its own. Someone
transported it there. The evidence indicates Oswald transported it there.
Now, Oswald is the only person I know that the evidence indicates had
access to the Paine garage and the TSBD, and was seen with a long package
the morning of the assassination. We can quibble until the cows come home
about how long the package was. But the package found in the Depository
bearing his print was long enough to contain the rifle found in the
depository.

You can advance the conversation by naming any others known to have access
to the Paine garage, the Depository, and were seen the morning of the
assassination transporting a long package to the depository the morning of
the assassination.

Go ahead, we'll wait.

And once again you ignored my prior point entirely. YOU referred to the
*stock* and the *muzzle* of the package: "Frazieer noticed how long tha
package was n the seat and how Oswald carried it by his right palm on the

Curtain rods have neither a muzzle nor a stock. A rifle has both. You
mentioned those terms in reference to the package Frazier saw. Not me.

That's the point... estimates don't rise to the level of evidence. They
are estimates, not measurements. And an estimate of 'about two feet'
doesn't eliminate the bag found near the sniper's nest, and doesn't
eliminate the rifle being brought in by Oswald within the paper bag he was
seen with that morning.

You don't understand SCIENCE.
I think you have a surplus of straw out there on your farm out in the mid
west, because all you ever do is make up straw man arguments. No one ever
said anything about witnesses measuring the bag. Stop your nonsense. Why
can't you just read the WC and find out where they got their ESTIMATES of
the length of the bag? Too much work? No browser? No Google? And yet you
have plenty of time to post nonsense here.
That's the point... estimates don't rise to the level of evidence. They
are estimates, not measurements. And an estimate of 'about two feet'
doesn't eliminate the bag found near the sniper's nest, and doesn't
eliminate the rifle being brought in by Oswald within the paper bag he was

Nobody cares what you asked.

It. Doesn't. Matter.

The goal here is not to satisfy you, because you will never be satisfied.
The goal here is to satisfy the 'beyond a reasonable doubt' clause to a
reasonable person. The 50-year-old video of Dan Rather walking away with
the rifle on his shoulder (which you doubt are aware of) satisfies that.
Even if it doesn't satisfy you. We passed the 'beyond a reasonable doubt'
standard a good while ago. Now w're into wholly unreasonable doubts and
minutia that is off the scale.

And this whole 'How did the rifle get into the building' and 'curtain
rods' argument is meaningless in the extreme. In what case did a
prosecutor ever have to go to these extremes to convince a jury?
Seriously, nobody had to prove where any other Presidential assassin
purchased their weapon. Not Hinckley, Fromme, Moore, Cholgosz, Booth, or
Guiteau. Only Oswald.

Conspiracy Theorists demand not only proof that Oswald's rifle committed
the assassination (the 3 shells, the two large fragments, and the nearly
whole bullet do that), but that Oswald purchased the rifle (the Kleins
paperwork does that), possessed the rifle (that backyard photos do that),
and transported the rifle to the Depository (the eyewitnesses and the
paper bag do that).

It's nonsense what you're demanding, and it's nonsensical to attempt to
satisfy a devout CT. Won't happen. Not because proof beyond a reasonable
doubt isn't available, but because devout CTs are never satisfied with any
proof pointing to Oswald. It's a part of their faith not to accept that.

Hank
OK, wise guy. Get out your Carcano and try carrying it with the muzzle
tucked under your right arm pit and cupping the end of the stock with your
right hand. Please don't hurt yourself or fire it accidentally. Maybe
Bigfoot or McAdams could do it, but I'll bet that YOU can't do it.

No matter how much Dan Rather lies, that does not meet the challenge I

I challenge you Marsh to produce the curtain rods. The rifle was in the

they are in the National Archives.

nag. Oswald carried it in to the TSBD.Mr. FRAZIER - Well, I will be frank
with you, I didn't pay much attention to the package because like I say
before and after he told me that it was curtain rods and I didn't pay any
attention to it
But ht did describe HOW Oswald carried the package. Why did you leave
out that? You selectively quote to leave a false impression.

You don't understand SCIENCE.
I think you have a surplus of straw out there on your farm out in the mid
west, because all you ever do is make up straw man arguments. No one ever
said anything about witnesses measuring the bag. Stop your nonsense. Why
can't you just read the WC and find out where they got their ESTIMATES of
the length of the bag? Too much work? No browser? No Google? And yet you
have plenty of time to post nonsense here.

Whose fingerprint and palmprint were found on the bag? Lee Oswald's
palmprint and fingerprint were found on the bag. Do you agree Marsh?

Yes. He could have put them there at any time.
There is no evidence that a rifle was in the bag.

Asked and answered. Anyone can say anything. Providing the proof of a
claim is a different story, however. You can say anything you want.

The first time I saw you say the curtain rods were in the archives, you
provided a link to the curtain rods that were still in the Paine garage
after the assassination.

Where's the evidence for these supposed archive curtain rods that trace
back to Oswald? What's the chain of custody? Any witnesses to these
curtain rods in the archives? Or is this solely dependent on taking your
word as gospel?

Tell us about Buell Frazier's ruler. How did Frazier arrive at his
estimate? The only ruler you need Marsh is Donald Trump.
