Salinger was as close to RFK as anyone. I just learned through CNN's 1968
series that Salinger was RFK's campaign manager in 1968.

Salinger of course was JFK's press secretary. In 1964 he ran for the
Senate seat in California. He won the Democrat primary and when retiring
Senator Clair Engle died, he was appointed by Governor Pat Brown to fill
out the remainder of Engle's term. He was defeated by former actor George
Murphy in the general election. Many have suggested that Murphy's
successful run encouraged Ronald Reagan that he too could succeed as a
candidate.

From what I've read, Ken O'Donnell was RFK's campaign manager and Salinger
was one of the other "managers"/advisers types.

RFK was reportedly keeping track of the Garrison circus. Was it because he
suspected a conspiracy? Or was he worried that Garrison would uncover all
of those anti-Castro operations? Including the assassination plots? The
Drew Pearson stories about the plots broke in 1967. I'll suggest that RFK
was d eeply worried about where it would lead.

Check Salinger in the supplied video. Note that Salinger was not
definite about RFK believing the WC. And if RFK got into office, he might
chase down the killers of JFK, so he had to go too.

What? Are you going of your nut again? You and anyone can check
Salinger's words to verify what I'm saying, and as to my thought that RFK
had to go too when he ran for president, he was killed, which offers some
proof. What do you have to offer?

RFK was killed by a Palestinian who was enraged by RFK's pro-Israel positions. Just as it is with Oswald, in over 50 years no one has produced a scrap of evidence he was acting on behalf of anyone except himself.

The RFK assassination, even more so than the JFK assassination, shows the
desperation some have to believe any nonsense. Sirhan shot RFK at close
range in front of dozens of witnesses, was subdued with the smoking gun
still in his hand, and still some refuse to accept he was the lone
assassin.

Sounds like you learned a little about the JFK killing, but not the RFK
killing. Oswald was lucid when questioned. Sirhan was not. See an RFK
conspiracy page.

While his wife, the actress Cheryl Hines, waited in the car, Kennedy met
with Sirhan for three hours, he revealed to The Washington Post last week.
It was the culmination of months of research by Kennedy into the
assassination, including speaking with witnesses and reading the autopsy
and police reports.

“I got to a place where I had to see Sirhan,” Kennedy
said. He would not discuss the specifics of their conversation. But when
it was over, Kennedy had joined those who believe there was a second
gunman, and that it was not Sirhan who killed his father.

“I went there because I was curious and disturbed by what I had
seen in the evidence,” said Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and
the third oldest of his father’s 11 children. “I was
disturbed that the wrong person might have been convicted of killing my
father. My father was the chief law enforcement officer in this country. I
think it would have disturbed him if somebody was put in jail for a crime
they didn’t commit.”

Why would I care what a druggie like RFK Jr. thinks about anything? He's a
moron. There is no evidence of a second gunman in the RFK assassination
any more than there is in the JFK assassination. Are we really supposed to
believe there was a second shooter in that crowded pantry and nobody saw
him. Which bullets were recovered that were shown to have come from a
different gun.

It really shows how easily some people can be duped into believing
ridiculous things. We are supposed to believe Sirhan was just a patsy. We
are supposed to believe that the guy who was seen firing the gun at RFK
was not the assassin while the real assassin was not seen firing a gun.
Sirhan was literally subdued with the smoking gun in his hand and some
people are willing to believe he was not the assassin. Of course it is
quite easy to dupe people who want to be duped.

Gee, why didn't I think of that? "They" killed RFK to prevent their
exposure.

Again: remember, it was a real small conspiracy behind the murder. Just a
handful of people.

Altered wounds, stolen bodies, faked films, teams of snipers, agents here
and there, FBI coverup, CIA coverup, SS coverup, investigations covering
things up for half a century.

Yep, 'twas just a small conspiracy.

Yup, you got fooled by the LN standard line. I've stated that I
believe there were about 20 people involved before the shooting, and that
doesn't count shooters around Dealey Plaza. Also 30 involved after the
shooting. To stop your trying to magnify that into ridiculous numbers,
remember that When Hoover told his people it was a 'lone nut' killing,
they would do whatever they could do to make that come true, or heads
would roll. Many (not all) FBI agents on the case were caught falsifying
statements of eyewitnesses to make the 'lone nut' killing the right
scenario, even to covering up things people said that suggested
conspiracy. Almost none of those agents were in on the plot, but they
were used to help cover it up without knowing why they were doing it.

The plotters simply had to have a good excuse for things they ordered
to be done, and that would be that the USA didn't want anyone to think we
were blaming any other country for the murder, so there wouldn't be a WW3
started.

The same or similar excuse could be used on the pathologists at
Bethesda for the clandestine work they did looking for bullets in the
body, and expanding the head wound to look more like it was from above and
behind.

That's 50 people. Is that your idea of a small conspiracy. Of course if we
were to add up all the people you have accused over the years of either
being part of the plot or part of the cover up, we would be way north of

Salinger was as close to RFK as anyone. I just learned through CNN's 1968
series that Salinger was RFK's campaign manager in 1968.
Salinger of course was JFK's press secretary. In 1964 he ran for the
Senate seat in California. He won the Democrat primary and when retiring
Senator Clair Engle died, he was appointed by Governor Pat Brown to fill
out the remainder of Engle's term. He was defeated by former actor George
Murphy in the general election. Many have suggested that Murphy's
successful run encouraged Ronald Reagan that he too could succeed as a
candidate.
Check Salinger in the supplied video. Note that Salinger was not
definite about RFK believing the WC. And if RFK got into office, he might
chase down the killers of JFK, so he had to go too.
You love to imagine things for which there is no evidence.
Also 30 involved after the
shooting.
That's 50 people. Is that your idea of a small conspiracy. Of course if we
were to add up all the people you have accused over the years of either
being part of the plot or part of the cover up, we would be way north of
50 people. The fascinating question is whether the people who were just
involved in the cover up were onboard before the assassination or were
they recruited after the assassination and if the latter is true, how did

Yes, so what? Are you saying that RFK had better access to facts than
the WC? How dare you make such an admission!

The fact is that it was just RFK's impression that the attempts to get
rid of Castro backfired.

LBJ was the only one who fell for the Cuba Hoaxes and thought there was
real evidence that Castro did it.

They may have. RFK put pressure on the CIA to get rid of Castro,
who was definitely an enemy that needed to be neutralized one
way or another. As time passed Castro proved to inept, using a
combination of Marxist Theory and old fashioned Dictatorship.
The Cuban economy was soon in shambles.

Castro turned Cuba into a Third World country with a moribund
economy. He basically punished the Cuban people for allowing
him to turn Cuba into a failed test-tube experiment in Communist
economics, which was basically subsistence living conditions. If
the Cuban people are happy with that reality then so be it.

Castro would be aware a crazy gringo made a visit to the Cuban Embassy and
yelled threats against President Kennedy. No communication to the US
Embassy about this incident. He would also know this same guy made visit

After the killing of JFK, the family, particularly RFK went along
with the official line. That if he said anything, he would be next on the
list to die. If he thought it was the Mafia, then he would be a target
too. Better to lay low and run for president where he would e able to use
the resources to find the guilty parties, and prosecute them or pay them
back.

From Salinger, we hear that there was an evolving thought in the
family about conspiracy, but no proof. That was in the video.
